In addition to the Panel Parity Pledge, each Gender Champion makes two individual annual commitments specific to moving gender equality forward in their organization.





Committed to organizing at least one side event or meeting with a gender-dimension

Organize, with my fellow women Ambassadors, an initiative to develop and promote confidence among young women diplomats and delegates to Geneva.

Deliver statements on gender equality and the SDGs in at least 3 events this year.

Le Président Emmanuel Macron a déclaré l’égalité entre les femmes et les hommes « Grande Cause du Quinquennat ». En 2018, la priorité a été donnée à la lutte contre les violences sexistes et sexuelles. J’organiserai un évènement sur ce thème à l’occasion de la journée internationale pour l’élimination de la violence à l’égard des femmes (25 novembre) ainsi qu’un évènement de suivi en 2019.

Eduquer les filles, c’est permettre aux femmes de demain d’être autonomes. L’éducation des filles est le premier levier pour lutter contre les inégalités entre les femmes et les hommes. J’organiserai en 2019 sur le thème de l’éducation et de l’autonomie des filles et des femmes un évènement, si possible en partenariat avec l’UNESCO et l’UNICEF, pour illustrer le quarantième anniversaire du CEDAW.

Encouraging and supporting women entrepreneur’s contributions and transform their local communities by providing opportunities available for them such as, (a) by helping expose their products/ services through trade exhibitions available in the Netherlands (b) by increasing their recognition by connecting them through networking and social events;

Convene one meeting among civil society, international organizations and the diplomatic community in The Hague to assess knowledge and actions to combat the gender pay gap not only between men and women, but also between women with children and women without children.

Hosting at least one public diplomacy event every year which focuses on an aspect or aspects of the gender equality agenda.

Encourage and promote among staff the importance of participating in activities related to gender equality by registering at least one member in two gender equality fora/conference/seminar per year

To strive for gender parity in the Brazilian official delegations attending events in The Netherlands, by advocating with capital.
