In addition to the Panel Parity Pledge, each Gender Champion makes two individual annual commitments specific to moving gender equality forward in their organization.





Promote, together with the Latin-American and Caribbean Group (GRULAC), in the frame of the Fourth Special Session of the Conference of the States Parties to Review the Operation of the Chemical Weapons Convention, a gender perspective in the Technical Secretariat of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

Advocate for integration of a gender perspective in Human Rights Council outcomes.

WSSCC will monitor and report results of gender equity-related indicators in strategic frameworks, programs, and projects.

At least 80% of Gavi engagement in global development and health policy dialogues and discussions has a strong gender articulation.

Commit to devote particular attention to the specific situation of women and girls and gender dimensions in Austria’s initiatives, and continually introduce gender aspects in our discussions at UN organisations in Geneva.

Commit to amplifying the voice of young people as advocates for gender equality, including their sexual and reproductive health and rights, by providing training to 300 outstanding Women Young Leaders and connecting them and Young Leader alumni to 100 opportunities to public speaking and 50 opportunities to influence decision-makers to improve policies, programs, and investments in girls and women’s health, rights, and wellbeing.

Strive to find opportunities to impart relevant and practical knowledge/experience to women that are helpful to their professional development and share best practices on the promotion, support and protection of rights of women and girls.

By December 2018, three to five WHO Fact Sheets reviewed and updated to better reflect gender. This commitment is designed to raise the visibility and understanding of gender in global health.

I will actively participate on the Global Board of Men Engage Alliance and advance practical steps with the Alliance to ensure grounded feminist approaches to the work of transforming masculinities and engaging men and boys.

Ensure that relevant gender concerns feature in every piece of published UNRISD research.
