To achieve equal rights for people of all genders on the move, we must work together on a global scale to accelerate progress towards gender equality and women and girls' empowerment. From our experience, we know that in order to achieve this we must focus our efforts on equal representation of women and girls, preventing gender-based violence, and addressing gender-based discrimination in all forms.

Personal Commitments
I will actively champion the implementation of IOM's Gender Equality Policy. This policy aligns with broader organizational priorities for equality, diversity and inclusion across all areas of IOM's work.
I will continue to promote equal representation of women at all levels of our workforce, including through proactive approaches to appointing women in underrepresented areas, as well as enhanced data collection and transparently disclosing gender balance data from across the Organization.
