Rural Women at Work: Bridging the gaps
8 March 2018, 11:00am – 12:30pm
R3 South, ILO Headquarters in Geneva
The event will celebrate the significant contributions of rural women at work across the globe, including indigenous women, and highlight actions needed to achieve greater gender equality and empowerment. The interactive panel discussion will serve as a platform for collective reflection addressing challenges and opportunities in supporting the role of rural women as agents of change. The tripartite panel, which will be moderated by a distinguished journalist will include the ILO Director-General and International Gender Champion, Mr. Guy Ryder, and representatives from government, as well as worker and employer organizations. A panelist from the indigenous and tribal community will also share perspectives.
A sandwich lunch will be provided after the event.
