My country Latvia ranks amongst the top 20 countries globally in terms of gender equality. Simultaneously, gender equality is not just about number of women in positions of power. It is crucial that gender equality is qualitative. As Latvian ambassador, I am fully committed to advocate for a meaningful gender equality: ‘’Making women count - not just counting women‘’.
