Alice Edwards

There can be no real advancement in social justice and human rights until both women and men are equally represented at all levels of society, and their views and experiences are reflected in law, policy and practice. I’m committed to advancing equality in all that I do and lead.

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.
  • Ensure CTI's work to prevent and respond to torture and ill-treatment advances gender-responsive policies and practices, by assessing the potential differential impact.

  • Pursue balanced gender and geographical representation and engagement in all activities CTI organises, promotes and finances. CTI invitations will encourage nomination of qualified women, and experts at regional seminars will be at least 35% women.
