Our future is urban - and it must be equal. An adequate standard of living, including adequate housing and essential services, as well as equal access to land rights, are the foundation of gender equality. As an International Gender Champion, I advocate for the rights of all women, especially those most at risk of being left behind. At UN-Habitat, we are committed to embedding gender equality into every layer of sustainable urban development, from global fora such as the World Urban Forum, to one-on-one dialogues. Cities must be built not just with bricks, but with equality. It is our commitment to create inclusive, gender-responsive urban futures, together.

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.

I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.
