Antje Leendertse
Ambassador, Permanent Representative,
Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United Nations in New York

Germany will continue advancing gender equality in the UN and at our mission. We must turn words into action and enhance rights, representation and resources of and for women and girls worldwide.
I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.
I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.
Personal Commitments
In line with Germany’s Feminist Foreign Policy, I commit to mainstreaming gender in our work by promoting and supporting the work of the FFP+ Group, an informal and cross-regional Group of Friends of which Germany currently is co-chair together with Chile. The Group brings together countries from around the world with feminist foreign policies and countries with strong gender equality ambitions whose joint objective it is to further strengthen and disseminate the feminist approach to foreign policy.
I commit to hosting events which further promote female leadership roles at all levels of both governmental and societal space and feminist policy approaches, e.g. by co-organizing and hosting a CSW67 Side Event on Jewish women lawyers which portrays 17 women who played an important role in the emergence of democracy in the Weimar Republic, in the field of social work and in the struggle of women for equal rights.
