We need the best political leaders, people with best ideas, most creative and most driven to win the best possible future. This is why we cannot allow half of the world's population to remain observers – "we cannot win with only half the team". This is why gender equality matters.

Gladly I come from a country where we practice what we preach. We had female prime minister, we have female ministers, we have a female Head of General Staff of Slovene Armed Forces, we have a female Head of Slovene Police, we have female ambassadors, and I am now a woman at the UN and OSCE table.

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.
  • Promote and strive for work-family life balance through strong prioritising of areas of work, enhancing predictability and planning of meetings and work obligations, avoid calling for meetings during evening, weekends and public holidays.

  • Organise "A day with an Ambassador" for female interns to mentor them and encourage and support them in their career in this line of work.
