Norway has a long history and strong record of gender equality. As Norwegian ambassador, I see it as an important task to support and promote gender equality and diversity in all aspects of my work. As an openly gay man, I seek to promote visibility and safe spaces for LGBTQ persons.
I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.
I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.
Personal Commitments
As Ambassador I will promote an organisational culture of gender equality and diversity within the Norwegian Embassy, including supporting and promoting the career development of interns and young professionals.
As ambassador and Permanent Representative, I will advance gender equality in the international organisations based in the Netherlands and Luxembourg by supporting the organisations work on strengthening gender priorities and applying gender and diversity criteria in their programs and activities.
