During my tenure as Political Coordinator in the United Nations Security Council and as representative in different organs and committees of the United Nations, including UNIFEM, I have been committed to the implementation of Security Council Resolution 1325. I am convinced that we need to ensure a meaningful and visible participation of women across the System by guaranteeing them fair access to power positions and highlighting their valuable contributions. We have achieved advancements yet we must walk the talk and speed it up with men as our allies.
