We need to take real measures and seriously commit to gender equality. I am so proud that my entire team signed the Mission of Canada to the UN Gender Pledge. I encourage others to do the same.

Personal Commitments

Highlight and discuss one of the Gender Pledge commitments in the Missions “all staff meeting” on a regular basis to create frequent opportunities to reflect and exchange information across Mission sections on challenges, progress, and good practices in implementing commitments of the Gender Pledge.
Forge new and deeper partnerships with civil society organizations and meaningfully consult with them on intergovernmental processes implicating all Mission components with a view to gaining additions perspectives on the differentiated impact of our work on people with a particular emphasis on women and girls.
