Bruce Turner
Ambassador, Permanent Representative,
U.S. Mission to the Conference on Disarmament
For far too long, women have not had a seat at the table when consequential peace and security decisions have been made. These decisions can only bring sustainable peace if they are crafted and implemented with diverse perspectives in mind. They can only bring lasting security if they consider the needs of the communities they affect. I commit to go beyond numbers and focus on promoting women’s full and meaningful participation in arms control, disarmament, and nonproliferation work as U.S. Ambassador to the Conference on Disarmament.
I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.
I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.
