Realising gender equity for all, not just some, requires courage, persistence, creativity and determination. It requires open dialogue, and also a willingness for those in positions of power to acknowledge mistakes, then listen and then move forward and evolve in our efforts toward gender parity, with even greater conviction.

Personal Commitments

Representing World YWCA as a member of the Big 6 international youth organizations group, I will push for meaningful and sustained young women’s formal and informal engagement and leadership with those peer organizations.
World YWCA will continue diversity, equity and inclusion efforts for all team members, and continue integration of this work into collective global movement efforts, including policy work, and how individuals can explore and express their vulnerability and challenges in preventing and responding to gender-based violence and sexism.
