Christian Grønbech-Jensen
Ambassador, Permanent Representative,
Embassy and Permanent Mission of Denmark to the international organizations in Vienna
For democracy to be sustainable it requires involvement of all - regardless of gender, age, background or sexual orientation. It is essential that everyone has the opportunity to lead and to be heard. Otherwise, democracy as we know it cannot work. The inclusion of women on all levels of society not only provides a widening of our perspectives, it also ensures that we are better equipped to find solutions to the challenges we are facing. I will make sure to play my part in achieving this very important goal in all of the different spheres of our work, while encouraging others to do the same.
I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.
I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.
Personal Commitments
I will promote gender inclusivity in programmes, projects and policies in Vienna Based Organisations by promoting gender transformative or gender neutral language, including in all statements delivered on behalf of Denmark as well as promote women’s empowerment and increase the meaningful and equal participation of women by focusing on nominating and facilitating the participation of women representatives and experts, including gender experts, in meetings, panels, and side events at the Vienna Based Organisations.
I will work to prevent sexual harassment in the work environment by committing to a zero-tolerance policy against sexual harassment, and by facilitating and engaging in a continuous and open dialogue with employees about sexual harassment.
