Christophe De Kepper
Director General,
International Olympic Committee
Make sport a powerful platform to foster gender equality and empower women is a top priority for the International Olympic Committee. Through our Gender Equality Strategy and Olympic Agenda 2020, we are more than ever committed to use sport as a driver for gender equality, empowerment and social change. Gender equality is not a women's issue. It's a team effort. We are all teammates now. As an International Gender Champion, I, as IOC Director General, am committed to support and promote gender equality and women empowerment within the IOC organisation.
I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.
I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.
Personal Commitments
Advancing gender equality in and through sport is a top priority for the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Through Olympic Agenda 2020+5 and our Gender Equality and Inclusion Strategy, we are committed to consolidating the Olympic Games as one of the most effective global platforms for promoting gender equality and accelerating female representation in governance and leadership positions across the Olympic Movement.
As leader of the Olympic Movement, we are leading by example, having achieved 40 percent women in our IOC membership and setting the goal for gender equal athlete participation at Paris 2024. As IOC Director General, I am also committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, diverse and equitable organisation.
