Gender equality is about ensuring that women and girls have equal access to all rights and opportunities without discrimination. I am honoured to join the International Gender Champions Initiative. I pledge to continue promoting gender equality throughout my work here in Geneva.

Personal Commitments
As an International Gender Champion I commit to include a gender perspective in national statements delivered in international fora whenever possible and also raise the importance of gender equality through social media platforms of the Permanent Mission of Malta.
To achieve better gender balance in selection panels for new positions in the Permanent Mission of Malta I will ensure that women make up at least 40% of such panels.
