Ambassador and Permanent Representative to IAEA and CTBTO, Permanent Mission of the United Kingdom to the United Nations in Vienna
Corinne Kitsell

Put simply, organisations deliver better outcomes when women have an equal voice in their workforce and amongst their leadership. As a women in a male-dominated working environment, I am committed to encouraging women to consider roles in sectors traditionally dominated by men, and to supporting those women in practical ways to succeed. As an International Gender Champion, I commit to holding the leadership of the Vienna-based International Organisations to account in delivering on their commitments to gender parity.

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.

Personal Commitments

Encourage female applicants to positions (whether open to UK diplomats or locally recruited) at the UK’s Permanent Mission, ensuring that our working practices and facilities are right for a gender diverse workforce. Each officer will reflect a commitment to gender diversity in their personal objectives. This includes encouraging more UK women to apply for positions at the Vienna Based Organisations.
Encourage young women in the UK to consider a career in the science/nuclear field, by hosting an event/series of events for STEM students and graduates, raising awareness of opportunities and broad range of issues that the STEM-focussed agencies cover, including IAEA, CTBTO, and UNOOSA.
