The participation of women in decision-making, conflict prevention and resolution and any other peace initiative is essential to the realization of lasting peace. Since the full and complete development of a country, the welfare of the world and the cause of peace require the maximum participation of women, a transformed partnership based on equality between women and men is needed as a condition to fulfill the Sustainable Development Goals.
