As a founding member of the Italian Women Diplomats Association, I have been a strong advocate for gender equality and women’s empowerment throughout my career. I am not afraid to be ambitious and I firmly believe that women can and should achieve as much as men. It is key to show the new generations that there is a different, fair and constructive way for women and men to contribute together to the transformative processes of our societies.

Through joint efforts and constant commitment, we can make it here with the Vienna-based Organisations. As an International Gender Champion, I will strongly engage to promote a credible change.

Personal Commitments

I commit to mainstreaming gender equality & women’s empowerment across the initiatives that will be organized in 2024 in the framework of the Italian Chairmanship of the Wassenaar Arrangement Plenary and in any other leadership role I will be called upon to assume as Permanent Representative. In these capacities, I intend to encourage gender focus on language and gender balance in the attendance at meetings and events, building on the cross-cutting priorities of the Italian G7 Presidency.
I pledge to increase the Italian Government’s attention to gender initiatives undertaken by the Vienna-based Organizations. I will also advocate for further government and non-governmental funding as well as innovative ideas aimed at supporting talented young women, especially in the STEM field where they are particularly under-represented.
