Promoting gender equality is critical not just for human rights and justice — it is also a prerequisite for peace. Inclusive and sustainable peace cannot exist where structural inequalities persist, where women’s voices are silenced, or where patriarchal power and militarism continues to shape decisions on war and peace. WILPF’s vision of feminist peace is grounded and predicated on the redistribution of power, transforming institutions to dismantling inequalities, and for these reasons it is a privilege and a pleasure to be an International Gender Champion.

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.

I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.

Personal Commitments

Champion an integrated approach across Geneva’s multilateral ecosystem by convening and facilitating at least two cross-pillar dialogues per year that bridge the Women, Peace and Security (WPS), disarmament, and human rights communities, with a focus on embedding feminist, anti-militarist analysis in Human Rights Council (HRC) and other human rights mechanisms.
Advocate for the systematic inclusion and visibility of grassroots women peacebuilders, particularly from conflict-affected and Global South contexts, by facilitating at least four advocacy interventions per year across WPS, human rights, disarmament and environmental fora.
