Gender inequalities play a significant role in driving biodiversity loss – yet diverse gender perspectives can inspire a suite of solutions.  I’m committed to addressing gender issues to advance the work of the Convention on Biological Diversity, not only to achieve gender equality within the Convention, but to support countries in building ecologically focused sustainable development pathways for a future where we all can live in harmony with nature. This requires all of us to make change happen.
