Dr. Grethel Aguilar
Director General,
International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)

Solving climate change and biodiversity loss is a whole of society movement. Empowering women in conservation isn’t just the right thing to do – it’s the smart thing to do. When women are empowered, nature thrives. We cannot tackle the world’s biggest environmental challenges while leaving half the population out of the conversation. True progress demands that we lift every voice and harness the full power of humanity to protect our planet, uniting as one for a resilient, just and equitable planet.
I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.
I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.
