In my first month as the Director of UNIDIR, I am honored and delighted to become an International Gender Champion. We must go beyond “gender” as a buzzword and effectively ensure that gender equality considerations are at the core of all we do at the Institute. At UNIDIR, we will use gender as a lens that amplifies the effectiveness of our mission, working towards a more sustainable and peaceful world.

Personal Commitments

UNIDIR will create opportunities for youth engagement on international security by co-organizing an event with youth-led groups on the Women, Peace and Security agenda.
UNIDIR will continue to build capacity and support women’s meaningful participation in discussions related to military AI through the UNIDIR Women in AI Fellowship.
