I believe that gender equality and women empowerment are key for a democratic, inclusive and sustainable society. I am pleased that in my country, today there is a significant percentage of women participation at decision making levels, including parliament, government, and other institutions at central and local level. Their contribution, expertise, experience, perspectives are important and valuable for Albania, and we do not have the luxury to lose them.
I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.
I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.
Personal Commitments
Promote gender equality in delegations and in statements of the Albanian Mission:
1.I will ensure gender balanced participation of my country delegates to international organizations in Vienna.
2. As the Chair of Human Dimension Committee at OSCE, together with my team, I will ensure that gender equality will remain high in the agenda, and gender equality will be mainstreamed during the meetings.
3. Gender equality and women empowerment issues will be mainstreamed in our statements at the OSCE and EU.
