Women must be at the centre stage of decision-making to address the most pressing challenge humanity has ever faced: climate change. Climate change affects the whole world, not half of it. When women are at the table we achieve better outcomes for people and the planet. We need to mobilize 100% of the potential of society. It is about men and women working together as one team for one planet and building bridges for climate action.

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.

I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.

Personal Commitments

Championing women leadership as part of the Global Conscious Food Systems Summit in Bhutan: having been appointed as part of the women leadership circle for the Summit team, we will ensure that there is a 50/50 balance in terms of representation at the high-level segment of the Summit, working with Mary Robinson and Project Dandelion among other partners, and addressing systemic challenges that women face in food and agriculture. Our roles also include: Preparing for the Global Conscious Food Systems Summit taking place in Bhutan in 2026, under the leadership of the Prime Minister and co-hosted by the Conscious Food Systems Alliance UNDP Secretariat, we are part of the global partners organizing teams focused on organizational culture and women's leadership. Our roles are: 1. To amplify the Summit by spreading the word, mobilizing networks of women leaders and key partners (ie sharing the call for submissions), and support synergies with other events/initiatives 2. To advise on the content: providing ideas, reviewing submissions related to the women leadership circle’s theme, and helping weave the final content together in synergy with other thematic circles 3. To support resource mobilisation - identifying potential funding sources and sponsorships with a focus on the participation of women farmers from the Global South.
This year I will continue to mentor and coach women leaders, especially young professionals from the Global South who want to engage in climate action, food systems transformation and nature-based solutions. We will further develop our Be One Mentoring program to reach 50 to 100 new mentors and mentees by the end of the year. I commit to mentor and support at least 4 women this year, with personalized support and peer to peer sessions on a regular basis.
