We must prioritize Gender Equality and Empowerment of women and girls across all sectors of our work for the benefit of all of us. Beyond ensuring compliance with women and girls’ rights, we must ensure our advocacy and programming systematically reveal, tackle and transform discriminatory gender and social norms.

Personal Commitments
Expand the scale of multi-sectoral programming that centers the needs, agency and rights of adolescent girls and contribute to prevent violence, early and unwanted pregnancies and HIV.
Encourage UNICEF preparedness and risk analysis in ESA to be systematically informed by engagement with local and national Women and Girls’ Organizations.
