Fabricio Guariglia
Director, The Hague Office,
International Development Law Organization (IDLO)
Gender equality is not only a legal and moral imperative; it is a human right. It also leads to effective, resilient and fair organizations, as well as peaceful and inclusive societies. I will keep promoting justice for women and girls, in all their diversity, through the rule of law in all aspects of our work, and help break down barriers for their full advancement as equal members of society.
I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.
I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.
Personal Commitments
I will support and promote IDLO’s Strategic Plan 2025-2028 that calls for reducing the justice gap for women and men. This includes promoting the elimination of discriminatory laws and practices; supporting institutions to address the justice needs of women and girls; protecting women’s rights in digital spaces; championing women’s leadership in the justice sector; and empowering women and girls to claim their rights.
I commit to foster an organizational culture where gender equality and women’s empowerment are embedded in all processes. For this, I will (1) promote gender parity in my team, supporting women’s leadership and meaningful participation in all spheres; (2) organize a policy advocacy event to promote women’s rights; and (3) convene an internal workshop on women's rights and gender equality.
