Good trade policy – and inclusive trade policy – makes the best use of the talents of all in our societies.

Empowering women to participate in and reap the benefits of international trade is essential if we’re to foster the most productive, competitive and resilient global economy possible.

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.
  • Promote women in leadership, by encouraging women to take up leadership positions in the field of international economic diplomacy as well as developing, and monitoring progress against, the women in leadership action plan for the Australian Mission.

  • Foster the inclusion of women in international trade, by chairing and co-convening the WTO E-Commerce Joint Statement Initiative negotiations and advocating for outcomes that can tangibly benefit micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
