Gender equality is a core Australian value, and it is central to our international engagement. It should also be a core value of the international rules-based system we strive for. In our Indo-Pacific region, and globally, we need to ensure gender equality. Because it makes for better lives and for a better world.

Personal Commitments
Host a female mentoring event for early and mid-career colleagues in embassies and international organisations.
Actively promote gender equality and the elimination of sexual and gender-based violence across international legal bodies and international organisations, through active engagement in governance initiatives at the ICC and OPCW, including co-chairing the complementarity and Gender-Based Crime facilitation at the ICC.
