Diverse and inclusive societies make our world more safe, secure and prosperous, and achieving gender equality is a priority for Australia in all of our international engagement. I am committed to advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment in the work we do in Vienna, including to improve the representation of women, in all their diversity, in Vienna-based organisations.

Personal Commitments

Co-Chair, with the Philippines, the Group of Friends of Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment in UNOV/UNODC for 2024. Australia will use this position to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment across the broad spectrum of work undertaken by Vienna-based organisations.
Continue work to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment in all policy, practice and programming of the Australian Embassy and Permanent Mission. This includes through implementation of our Women in Leadership Action Plan in our organisational and external activities, and in our work to hold Vienna-based organisations accountable for actions to advance gender equality, including through monitoring, evaluation and reporting on the effectiveness of gender equality policies and programs.
