Irakli Beridze

The UNICRI Centre for AI and Robotics has always been active in identifying a need to defend and empower gender equality. In our field, while advocating for accountable, fair, transparent and explainable use of Artificial Intelligence, I am confident that, if appropriately designed, there is a great potential for the use of AI to improve gender equality and combat discrimination.

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.

I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.

Personal Commitments

In 2026, I commit to addressing the topic of gender equality during the organization of and participation in all events, initiatives, activities and collaborations I take part in. I will continue to commit myself to the IGC Panel Parity Pledge by speaking about it publicly at least twice this year and by personally encouraging others to commit to equality.
In 2026, I will keep creating opportunities for women in the world of AI and Robotics by maintaining a gender-balanced team at the Centre of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics of UNICRI and ensuring that hiring processes include gender‑inclusive job ads, at least one woman on every interview panel, and gender‑balanced shortlists of applicants.
