I will continue to support the institutionalisation of gender equality in the policies and frameworks of my Mission and enable internal dialogue and mentorship on the empowerment of women including through the amplification of the voices and experiences of women in leadership positions.

I will continue to strengthen mainstreaming of Australia’s advocacy for the protection and realisation of the rights of women and girls across my Mission’s leadership and engagement at the UN in New York in a targeted manner, including in relation to UN80 reforms, CSW, the UN General Assembly, the climate-gender nexus, peace and security matters, and I will use my convening power to support cross-regional dialogue and collaboration to push for progress.
