Justice for women and girls is at the core of sustainable peace and development. In times of global intersecting crises, we must redouble our efforts to empower women and girls, including through eliminating discriminatory laws, combatting gender-based violence, and strengthening gender responsive justice sector institutions.

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.

I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.

Personal Commitments

As a member of Global Women's Leaders (GWL) Voices, I commit to working to increase the number of women in leadership positions at national and global levels, including supporting the call for the next Madam Secretary General of the UN and gender rotation of the Presidency of the General Assembly.
As Director-General of IDLO, I commit to reducing the justice gap for women and girls and ensuring that gender equality and the empowerment of women is a priority for the Organization, in its research, programming and policy advocacy. In particular, I will champion efforts to eliminate discriminatory laws and practices; I will lead IDLO's work to support institutions to effectively address the justice needs of women and girls; protect their rights in digital spaces; advance women’s leadership and participation in the justice sector; and empower them to claim their rights.
