Kamal Kishore

Gender equality and inclusion are central to resilient systems. When women are partners in leading disaster risk reduction, recovery becomes faster, adaptation is smarter, and resilience is stronger. We must move from commitment to measurable action to achieve sustainable development that leaves no one behind.

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.

I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.

Personal Commitments

In 2026, I commit to using my convening role to strengthen women’s leadership and accountability in disaster risk reduction governance by promoting women’s meaningful participation in national and local DRR coordination mechanisms, including through ministerial dialogues, regional platforms and global processes.
In 2026, UNDRR will increase the number of countries collecting and using sex-, age- and disability-disaggregated data through the DELTA resilience system, and integrate this evidence into risk assessments, early warning and preparedness initiatives, and Sendai Framework monitoring to strengthen people-centred prevention and resilience.
