I have been committed to Gender Equality throughout my professional career and, as Deputy Minister for Multilateral Affairs, I paved the way for the establishment of an Intersectional Feminist Foreign Policy in Colombia to put on the table the promotion of the rights of women, girls and diverse people. Different types of discrimination pile up: we need to ensure that no woman is left behind. Gender equality requires an intersectional approach.

Personal Commitments

Promote the achievement of equal representation of women at every level in UNOV/ UNODC within FINGOV and raise awareness at conferences, meetings and panels within the UNOV of the efforts of the Group of Friends for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women.
Propose language that promotes a gender equality approach in the drafting process of resolutions within the negotiations in the framework of the different commissions, bodies, and international organizations based in Vienna.
