Children and young people constitute half of the world’s population, yet they are often overlooked in decision-making processes. At the Child and Youth Friendly Governance Project, we are dedicated to promoting gender equality by recognizing the importance of actively involving children and young people in decision-making. We firmly believe that addressing existing discrepancies and defining the way forward must be done in close collaboration with children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard and contributing to a more equitable and inclusive future.

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.

I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.

Personal Commitments

By the end of 2026, the Child and Youth Friendly Governance Project will deliver structured leadership and advocacy training to girls and young women from diverse backgrounds, equipping them with concrete skills to engage confidently and effectively in governance and public decision-making processes.
By the end of 2026, we will facilitate girls’ and young women’s participation in formal decision-making spaces by creating or strengthening platforms, partnerships, and opportunities that enable them to apply their skills, influence outcomes, and contribute to shaping policies and initiatives that affect their lives.
