We consider gender equality not only as a hallmark of our policy and values, but also as a strategy to become more efficient, respectful and whole. As a baseline, we stand by the fact that gender equality is an irrevocable human right.

Personal Commitments

We will use gender-inclusive language in all official communications to reduce bias and support women's visibility and will promote flexible meeting times and shorter, organized meetings to improve efficiency and foster gender equality, benefiting everyone's work-life balance.
As co-chairs of the UNODD GoF on Women, together with Lebanon, we will work to uphold the important role women play in this field, foster coordination efforts among Member States and defend the relevance of gender as a key issue in all lines of work of this UN organisation.
