I am honoured to be part of the Vienna branch of the International Gender Champions initiative, aimed at further promoting gender equality and eliminating discrimination in our work environment and specifically in the international organisations system. To succeed in our joint effort, we have to start by ensuring that all colleagues have at the back of their minds the principles of non-discrimination, respect and gender equality, when making decisions. The public commitment made herein below, is a small stepping stone towards our goal. If we stick to these basic commitments, these small stepping stones may soon become the norm.
