Personal Commitments

Directly mentor at least 6 women annually (2025-2026)—including interns, recent graduates, and early-career professionals—in international law, peace and security, disarmament, or gender issues, with the following specific outcomes to provide structured guidance on navigating multilateral diplomacy careers, including one-on-one sessions on treaty negotiation, intergovernmental processes, and strategic communication, facilitate each mentee's direct participation in at least one high-level UN meeting, and support the development of at least one substantive work product per mentee (policy brief, statement draft, or research paper) for their professional portfolio.
Highlight the gendered impact of All Weapons Systems by delivering at least 10 statements explicitly addressing how weapons systems differentially impact women and girls, including gender-based violence and barriers to women's participation in disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control, referencing Article 7(4) of the Arms Trade Treaty and Resolution 65/69 as legal foundations, and calling for gender analysis in governance of emerging security technologies.
