"To save lives means no one should be left behind, and this also means our commitment and actions to end all forms of discrimination against women and girls, empowering them to take a leading role in humanitarian action and having their voices heard."

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.

I commit to undertake the following:

  • All OCHA staff having completed the Gender equality and human rights e-learning series module with a minimum of 80 per cent of all HQ level staff by September 2019 and 70 per cent of field level staff by 2020.

  • Deliver on the gender parity goal of the Secretary-General and will work towards ensuring that OCHA’s senior management comprises at least 30 per cent women by 2019 and 50 percent by 2020 because gender parity is crucial for humanitarian action.
