Achieving Gender Equality is a task for all. Men and women must work in tandem to create a society where all women irrespective of their socioeconomic status can participate, equitably.

Personal Commitments

I will use my platform as Permanent Representative to the ISA to empower women and youth, with a distinct focus on young women from African nations, with opportunities to develop their leadership and communication skills, creating awareness of gender inequality, and reinforcing the need for an intersectional approach achieving gender equality.
I will continue to promote discussions and cross-generational knowledge exchange to ensure women, particularly young women from African countries, in relevant fields are able to develop their careers and access opportunities in ocean affairs and research.
