I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.
Personal Commitments
I commit to actively promote and advocate the ratification of the Council of Europe Convention on Combating and Preventing Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (Istanbul Convention), by engaging with a wide range of international and national partners. I will promote or organise at least two public events, conferences or similar initiatives each year, ensuring the promotion of relevant standards and values.
I commit to engage with youth with a view of their empowerment to act as gender equality advocates. In this view, I commit to organise and engage, every year, in an exchange, training and mentoring of youth representatives on relevant standards and values related to gender equality, in particular from the perspective of the Council of Europe’s work in the field, including the promotion of the standards of the Istanbul Convention and its direct impact. My upcoming participation in the European Youth Summit 2026 on 6 June 2026 in Geneva is a concrete example of this commitment.
