Gender equality must become a reality within my lifetime. Ideally all over the planet. Otherwise we are only seeing half the sky. Whatever I can contribute to that, I will attempt to do. And it is good to know so many likeminded supporters in this endeavour. Girls´ education and reproductive rights are therefore naturally very close to my heart. Gender equality is not an option, it is a mandate to empower others and let them shine.

Personal Commitments

I commit to continue to prominently feature the voices of women and youth smallholder farmers in the BKMC's advocacy work on climate adaptation and provide strong visibility on their urgent need to build climate resilience through the BKMC's outreach and social media activities.
I commit to making the BKMC a more equal working environment by incentivizing BKMC staff to tackle unconscious biases and apply an intersectional gender lens to their work through training on diversity & inclusion.
