
As Under-Secretary-General for General Assembly and Conference Management, I am fully committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace for all, free of gender-based bias and stereotypes, and where people of all genders are given equal opportunities to take on responsibilities in the framework of their functions. To achieve this, I will continue to support initiatives aimed at increasing managers’ accountability, empowering individuals of all gender identities, mitigating bias and fostering a culture of inclusion.

Ensure that the Department for General Assembly and Conference Management (DGACM) continues raising awareness of the importance of using gender-inclusive language across the six official United Nations languages, both within DGACM and with other Departments in the UN.

Ensure that the composition of DGACM staffing to service conference and meetings away from United Nations Headquarters (excluding language staff) is gender-diverse.
