Nadia Ernzer
Ambassador, Permanent Representative,
Permanent Representation of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg to the OECD and UNESCO
Standing up for gender equality starts with education. It is about allowing each girl to go to school, get an education, and enjoy the same opportunities in life as her male counterparts. It also means allowing boys to get a gender justice education.
A country that deprives half of its population of a proper education, is a country that lets half of its potential go to waste.
I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.
I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.
Personal Commitments
Advocate for the inclusion of wording on gender in texts negotiated in UNESCO and the OECD, and encourage colleagues in the two organisations to show their support to the elimination of violence against women and girls on social media (orange days).
Coach young women and men in my team and in the ministry of foreign affairs, and show them that a career in diplomacy can be compatible with having a family and raising children. Encourage gender parity in my team.
