Gender equality is not about taking away rights that currently men and boys enjoy. It is simply about having a fully inclusive society where all will have access to equal opportunities, irrespective of gender or sexual orientation. The world will benefit on so many levels if everyone were given the opportunity to develop their full potential. We need to engage men and boys, and we need them to be our allies. Education is the main key to achieving this objective. It is also the best tool to break stereotypes and outdated mentalities. As an International Gender Champion, I am committed to challenge these stereotypes and to lead by example.

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.

Personal Commitments

I will engage in advocacy on gender equality through all areas of my work, including through official statements and social media. I will also commit to spread awareness among other possible champions.
I will actively support and promote flexible working arrangements in order to achieve a better work-life balance by providing advance notice of staff meetings, holding these meetings online as necessary, and allowing flexible working hours so that staff members can attend to urgent personal issues. Contact with my staff beyond the normal working hours will be restricted strictly to emergency situations.
