Gender equality is not about taking away rights that men and boys currently enjoy. It is simply about having a fully inclusive society where all will have access to equal opportunities, irrespective of gender or sexual orientation. The world will benefit on so many levels if everyone were given the opportunity to develop their full potential. We need to engage men and boys, and we need them to be our allies. Education is the main key to achieving this objective. It is also the best tool to break stereotypes and outdated mentalities. As an International Gender Champion, I am committed to challenge these stereotypes and to lead by example.

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.

I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.

Personal Commitments

I will promote the integration of gender analysis in all projects and policies supported or endorsed by our Embassy and Mission, and will encourage partners to apply gender mainstreaming principles in programme design, implementation, and evaluation.
I will actively support and encourage male colleagues, particularly those in leadership roles, to join the conversation on gender equality. Through advocacy, mentorship, and awareness-raising activities, I will foster inclusive spaces where men feel empowered to take an active role in promoting gender equality, challenging harmful stereotypes, and serving as allies and role models in promoting gender equality and preventing gender-based violence.
