For trade to deliver on its promise of sustainable and inclusive growth for all, greater efforts must be made to develop trade policies that encourage and support women’s economic empowerment. Through the International Gender Champions, I will continue to support greater engagement and participation of women in the multilateral trading system.

Personal Commitments

As an International Gender Champion and as Executive Director of the International Trade Centre, I commit to strongly support women entrepreneurs through our 20 in-country/regional SheTrades Hubs, mobilise governments to join our global campaign on gender-responsive public procurement and kick off implementation of the WTO-ITC Women Exporters in the Digital Economy Fund to support women in digital trade in 3 countries.
As Executive Director of the International Trade Centre, I am dedicated to deepening ITC’s integration of gender equality, diversity, and inclusion into all aspects of our work. This includes strengthening internal practices and amplifying our global efforts to promote equitable opportunities for all.
