For trade to deliver on its promise of sustainable and inclusive growth for all, greater efforts must be made to develop trade policies that encourage and support women’s economic empowerment. Through the International Gender Champions, I will continue to support greater engagement and participation of women in the multilateral trading system.

Personal Commitments

As an International Gender Champion and as Executive Director of the International Trade Centre, I commit to strongly advocate for women’s empowerment through trade and to raise the ambition of ITC’s work on trade and gender through the 2022 – 2025 Gender Moonshot, and particularly through our global campaign on gender-responsive public procurement.
As Executive Director of the International Trade Centre, I commit to continue our efforts in mainstreaming gender equality, diversity, and inclusion both within ITC and through the work we do globally.
