Pamela Coke-Hamilton

For trade to deliver on its promise of sustainable and inclusive growth for all, greater efforts must be made to develop trade policies that encourage and support women’s economic empowerment. Through the International Gender Champions, I will continue to support greater engagement and participation of women in the multilateral trading system.

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.

I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.

Personal Commitments

As Executive Director of the International Trade Centre, I commit to raise the ambition of ITC’s work on trade and gender through the 2022 – 2025 Gender Moonshot which, among others, aims to reach a broader universe of women and launch a global initiative on gender-responsive public procurement and commit to continue implementing the new work programme for the TIG and support the work of WTO Informal Working Group on Trade and Gender.
As Executive Director of the International Trade Centre, I commit to championing an empathetic and compassionate organizational culture – one that actively promotes gender equality, diversity, and inclusion, eliminates all forms of discrimination, and that is mainstreamed into the work we do globally.
