It is time for everyone in every part of the world to take personal responsibility for meeting the gender equality goal. That is why I have committed to this network of inspiring leaders.
By the end of 2018 all senior managers within the secretariat are internally and publicly championing gender equality and women’s empowerment in the context of the UNFCCC process and the secretariat’s organisational culture.
For side events held at UNFCCC conferences, selection criteria will continue to include the applicant's track record of gender balance on previous side event panels. All applicants will be made aware of the Panel Parity Pledge.
