Philippe Larochelle
President,
International Criminal Court Bar Association (ICCBA)

The legal profession, and particularly international criminal justice, has a duty to reflect the principles it upholds, equality, dignity, and fairness. Gender equity is not an aspiration but an obligation. As the ICCBA, we must lead by example in ensuring our members work in environments that are respectful, safe, and inclusive, regardless of gender.
I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.
I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.
Personal Commitments
Engage regularly with the ICC and other relevant stakeholders to ensure gender equity remains a core consideration in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and practices affecting defence and victims' teams at the ICC.
Support ongoing training and dialogue for our members on gender sensitivity, workplace conduct, and best practices in order to promote a more inclusive and ethical legal practice, and to foster respectful and equitable professional environments.
